No problem :-)
It's coming to an end, and we need to head a bit further north. We're making one last stop for a couple of days before presumably returning to Denmark on Thursday. We've booked a spot just outside Potsdam, near Berlin, for the next four days, but we had quite a drive ahead of us. Despite the new battery and temporary hopes for functionality, the mover (a device used to maneuver caravans and trailers) isn't working. So, we faced some challenges when getting in and out of tight spots, as we either had to be able to steer the long caravan or manually push the big trailer. Kenneth had to back up and maneuver enough times to get us turned around and on our way a little before 8 a.m.
The day has gone well, but it has been the longest journey so far - almost 900 km. There has been some traffic (we even left the highway to try to avoid some of the worst congestion), but we found that there is still quite a bit of holiday traffic in the area, especially motorcycles from yesterday's parade that were heading back to Germany.
We stopped for gas, restrooms, and grabbed some food on the go, but there was no time for leisurely breaks. The campsite closed for check-in at 7 p.m., so that was our clear goal. We didn't quite make it and had to call them on the way to see if we could check in later. No problem :-) The last two hours were spent watching/listening to a soccer match in the car, but the lack of goals in the first half caused the backseat to lose interest!
We arrived without having had dinner and had to rummage through cabinets and drawers for various biscuits and leftovers so we could have a little something before bedtime. The adults enjoyed a beer, which could have been nice during the match :-) It was dark when we arrived, so we're not quite sure what kind of place we've come to, but we'll find out tomorrow.
