Kenneth had longed to play on a "real" golf course and had booked a tee time, receiving confirmation that everything was open. He got a tee time just after 8 am, and even though he started alone, he was quickly joined by an Italian resident from New York in a buggy. They played a hot round on a beautiful course right by the water and ended it with a well-deserved cold beer and an extra liter of water. What a delightful morning for him!
Back at the campsite, we enjoyed a cozy morning, attempted a bit of tennis, but it was just too hot around 11 am. So we all hopped into our bathing suits and claimed our favorite spot in the shade along a wall, and then we jumped into the water for some fun. We stayed there until late afternoon, and by that time, Kenneth had returned, and we were ready for an evening outing.
The evening's adventure took us back to the white town of Ostani, where we had spotted a diving shop. We wanted to buy new snorkels since the old ones didn't hold up during our fun day the other day. We succeeded in finding the snorkels and are looking forward to trying them out tomorrow. Afterward, we went on a hunt for a cozy restaurant, which we found (although we had to wander around and explore until they opened around 7:30 pm). It was a truly charming little place that only served fixed menus—one for kids, one vegetarian, one meat, and one with fish. We decided to try the vegetarian and meat versions and got to taste several new things that we weren't quite sure about. The flavors weren't the best we've ever had, but the presentations were impressive, and the ambiance was genuinely cozy. However, we were quite surprised when we were served red wine in clay mugs - that was definitely unusual!
