We felt that we owed the kids a day with full-on action to completely recharge their adrenaline levels! The choice was a water park similar to an outdoor version of "Lalandia" with lots of different water slides and pools. We had booked tickets online the previous evening, so we could skip the queue when we arrived (although there was another queue to collect wristbands for the lockers). We quickly got into our swimwear and into the whirlwind of activities.
There were incredibly long queues for many of the slides, and initially, we wandered around a bit to figure out what was available and what we could try. Georg's courage was greater than his height allowed, as some places required a minimum height of over 140 cm (which is fair - some of the rides looked pretty intense!). We tried two of them and gave up on one of the others due to an incredibly slow-moving queue. We headed to the "children's area," which was really nice but also a bit for younger kids.
Afterward, we took a little break to eat and drink a lot. Then, Sara and Naja went on the hunt for a slide with a decent queue length and double rings, which means two people can sit together when sliding down. They succeeded, and the height requirement here was only 120 cm, so Georg could also try it. We fetched the boys, who had thrown themselves into the wave pool, and tried a few more slides in the afternoon. They were fun but required patience due to the long lines. We gave up on the one that looked the most fun because of the hours-long wait. There was also a foam party here, but it didn't quite work out as intended in the headwind! All the foam flew away from the wave pool and almost into a restaurant, with the crowd following along.
We left around 6 PM when they closed, with happy and tired kids (and parents!). On the way home in the car, we had a laugh about their neat service with photos. They took pictures on several of the slides, and then you could take a selfie and ask the app to use facial recognition to find the day's pictures of you! It's a bit surveillance-like, but also pretty cool. Unfortunately, it's mainly Kenneth who's easily recognizable!
