Here, the laundry facilities are not much better than the previous place, but at least they are right next to our pitch, and we have a few more trees to hang the clothesline. So doing the laundry has become a bit of a project after almost two weeks without it. We do it by hand, a little at a time, but I'm sure we'll get through the pile before the week is over :-)
Today was a day for practical tasks and planning the week. What should we see in this area? The suggestions from everyone included various cities, each with its own unique features. Today, we drove to the closest one (Ostani), which is a beautiful white town on a hilltop. We explored its hot streets and had lunch with a view all the way to the sea. It was a lovely place, but not very kid-friendly. On the way back, we had to do some shopping since the supermarket here is not only expensive but also lacked some essential items. Most importantly, we had run out of coffee capsules - horror!
The supermarket we found was massive, and its fish section was particularly impressive. There was the head of a swordfish, a wide variety of different types of squids, and scallops still in their shells with roe. However, we weren't feeling very adventurous since our makeshift electric grill plate limits our culinary endeavors.
The afternoon was spent by the pool and playing tennis, followed by a delightful homemade meal with fresh ingredients.
