Robin Hood? - Day 77

(English version below)

Det må have været voldsomt!

We had a bit of a slow start to the day, and it was well into the late morning before we set out on an adventure. Our destination? A place where we could learn the fine art of archery and then put our newfound skills to the test in the forest. There, we found a trail with 20 different animal targets set up at various distances, spanning a little over a kilometer. Our goal? To score points based on whether we hit the target, hit the bullseye, or missed entirely.

But the adventure didn't start smoothly. On our way there, we managed to take a wrong turn and ended up in the completely wrong place and we had to backtrack. Along the way, we couldn't help but notice the signs of recent heavy rains in the area. Large sections of the road had been washed away, there were even some small landslides where big trees had tumbled into the river, and we counted five small bridges that had been completely destroyed along the route we were driving. It must have been quite a dramatic scene!

Eventually, we did find our way to the right place and were quickly given a crash course (pun intended) in archery or, at the very least, an explanation of the risks involved. And off we went into the woods! Hitting those animal targets turned out to be quite the challenge. While we all secretly hoped to be the next Robin Hood, it seems that hitting the bullseye requires a bit more practice. Nevertheless, we managed to hit the mark now and then, and that brought us plenty of excitement, even if it leaned a bit towards the tricky side. What a cool concept, and it was definitely a blast trying something entirely different.

After our archery adventure, we rewarded ourselves with some ice cream in the sun. Then, we made our way back home. By the time we got back, most of the day had passed, so we spent the rest of it cooking and playing.
